You may also elect to upload materials to your profile that include personal information. Please do not post or add personal data to your profile that you do not want to be publicly available.
Information We Collect Automatically or Via Cookies
We do not automatically collect your name or other identity information when you simply browse the Platform — that information is only collected where you choose to provide it, as set out under "Information You Give Us" above.
Some information is collected automatically as a necessary part of operating the Platform, including:
- Transaction Data, including details of products and services you have purchased from us (where applicable).
Other information is only collected if you accept or opt in to cookies and similar technologies, in accordance with the cookie preferences you set (see "Advertising and Cookies" below). Where you consent to cookies, this may include:
- Technical Data, such as your IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform, and (if accessing from a mobile device) approximate location; and
- Usage Data, including the pages you visit, jobs you view or search for, and how you interact with our Platform.
If you do not accept these cookies, this data is not collected, though some features of the Platform may not function as intended.
We do not knowingly collect Special Categories of Personal Data about you (such as details about race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, health, or biometric data) unless you choose to include such information voluntarily as part of your application materials, in which case it is processed only for the purpose you provided it. We do not collect information about criminal convictions and offences.
Information We Receive From Other Sources
- Others may post, write about, or link to your profile through the Platform;
- You and others may post content that includes information about you on our services;
- Employers and partners may provide data to us; and
- We work with third parties (including hosting providers, analytics providers, payment processors, and our platform provider, JBoard) who may provide us with information about you in connection with the services they provide us. [Insert full list of processors/sub-processors as applicable.]
How We Use Your Personal Information
We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to, for example where we need to perform a contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, or where we must comply with a legal obligation. Most commonly, we use your personal data to:
- create, personalise, provide support for, and maintain your account and profile;
- send you information about your account and changes or updates to our services;
- authenticate you and authorise access to the Platform;
- alert you to relevant job opportunities, content, and notifications;
- allow employers and candidates to connect through the Platform;
- where appropriate, send you newsletters or updates which you may elect to receive; and
- provide any other information or services you request that we provide.
Except as set out in this Privacy Policy or otherwise agreed by you, we will not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes or use your personal information other than for our internal purposes.
We generally rely on the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, or compliance with a legal obligation as our lawful basis for processing, rather than consent, although we will obtain your consent before sending you direct marketing communications by email or text message. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
We do not store payment card details. We monitor for, and take reasonable steps to prevent, security breaches.

You can ask us to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by contacting us. Where you opt out of receiving marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of using our services or other transactions.
Advertising and Cookies
We use "cookies" and similar technologies (e.g. web beacons, pixels, and device identifiers) on the Platform. A cookie is a small data file stored by your browser when you access our services. Where you accept or opt in to non-essential cookies, these may be used to collect Technical and Usage Data as described above, and to personalise our delivery of content and material to you, such as information most relevant to your profile and interests.
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function (for example, to keep you logged in) and do not require your consent. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through our cookie banner or your browser settings. You can also manually delete cookies from your browser. However, you may not be able to log in to our services without strictly necessary cookies enabled. Cookies from other entities ("third-party" cookies) may also be set on your device with your consent. Please see our Cookie Policy for further information.
How We May Share Your Information
We may engage third parties to undertake some of our services or related services, such as hosting, archiving, data security, and email communications. We provide those third parties access to personal information only for the purpose of them providing their services to us, and we take reasonable steps to ensure they use your personal information consistently with this Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose your personal information:
- to analytics and search engine providers that assist us in improving and optimising our services;
- to our related companies and professional advisors;
- to law enforcement or regulatory authorities, where we suspect an unlawful act is being or has been committed, or as otherwise required or authorised by law; and
- to an employer, where you apply for a position advertised via our Platform — in which case we will provide your application details and contact information to that employer.
Other than the disclosures set out in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise agreed by you, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party.
International Transfers
To assist us with various aspects of our business (such as hosting, analytics, and platform services), we may transfer personal data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where we do so, we ensure an appropriate level of protection is applied by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is in place:
- the personal data is transferred to a country or territory that the UAE Data Office has determined provides an adequate level of data protection;
- appropriate contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are put in place with the recipient; or
- you have given your explicit, informed consent to the transfer, or the transfer is otherwise permitted under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
Please contact us if you would like further information about the specific safeguards we use when transferring your personal data outside the UAE.
Security of Your Personal Information
We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data, such as HTTPS encryption, and we regularly monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities. However, we cannot warrant the absolute security of any information you send us, and there is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and the UAE Data Office of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
Third-Party Websites
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications. If you visit such websites, we suggest you review their privacy policies and terms of use before providing any personal information. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Data Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it, and any applicable legal requirements.
In some circumstances, you can ask us to delete your data — see "Your Rights" below. In some circumstances, we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
Your Rights Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law

No Fee Usually Required
You will not usually have to pay a fee to exercise your rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee, or decline to act on a request, if it is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.
What We May Need From You
We may need to request specific information from you to confirm your identity and your right to exercise these rights. This is a security measure to ensure personal data is not disclosed to anyone who has no right to receive it.

We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take longer if your request is particularly complex; in that case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

- Object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interest, including for direct marketing purposes;
- Request restriction of processing of your personal data in certain circumstances;
- Request the transfer (portability) of your personal data to you or a third party, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where technically feasible; and
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent to process your personal data, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew consent.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office if you believe we have not complied with applicable data protection law.
